All students attending SPSA take online classes through the @Kool online learning provider.
Sun Peaks Secondary Academy (SPSA)
SPSA is a multi grade classroom that provides a safe, social learning environment for students doing online @Kool classes. Onsite teaching staff assist students with their assignments and work with students to develop time management skills. Teaching staff arrange for enrichment activities and experiences to supplement online learning.
Sun Peaks Education Society (SPES)
SPES is a volunteer board that oversees the daily operations of the classroom, staffing, and fundraising for operating costs, staff salaries and student enrichment activities.

Science at Thompson River University (TRU)
Students had 2 visits to the Microbiology Lab with Dr. Anne Cheeptham to learn about various bacteria, and how to stain them and view them under the microscope. The class brought Agar plates back to Sun Peaks in which we swabbed various items or places around the school. We grew the bacteria on the plates on our own, then returned back to TRU to the Microbiology lab to stain the samples and learn what we grew!
Adventure/Tourism Department at TRU - Students spent the day with the adventure program, toured TRU and had a mock lecture.
