Admission process for 2026/2027:

All new and returning students must apply each school year. The application/admission process is described on this page.

2026/2027 School Fee:

For the 2026/2027 school year the $750.00 School Fee will be reinstated. This annual fee is intended to support the ongoing maintenance and enhancement of our school as well as the enrichment activies and programming for the year. Some of the activities planned for the 2026/2027 School year includes:

• Autumn and Spring Guided Fitness Programs at the Sun Peaks Fitness Centre

• A four week (one session per week) culinary and hospitality exploration program at one of Sun Peaks premier restaurants

• Fitness and Sport programming including: field sports, indoor climbing, disk golf, kayaking, bowling, golf and more…

• Speakers/workshops on various topics including preparing for the job market, sport nutrition, visual arts demonstrations, explorations of local organizations including Sun Peaks Mountain Rescue Society and Sun Peaks Ski Patrol, and more!

• Our traditional year-end multi-day field trip (2027 location to be determined)

School Fee Payment Schedule:

The school fee is due according to the following schedule:

First Installment: $250.00 due upon application (non refundable)

Second Installment: $250.00 due by September 1st, 2026

Third Instllment: $250.00 due by January 3rd, 2027

*The SPES is committed to ensuring that financial barriers do not prevent students from attending the Sun Peaks Mountain Academy. If financial assistance with fees is needed, please email the SPES at sunpeakseducation@gmail.com

Admission procedures for the 2026/2027 school year are as follows:

Step 1: Prospective student and a parent/guardian must read the SPMA Student Handbook & Policies: link here.

Please note that the student and parent will need to verify that they have read and understand this document.

Step 2: Complete and Submit Student Application Form

Please complete and submit the SPMA Student Application Form for 2026/2027: link here.

All new and returning students must apply each school year. Please note there are questions and sigsnatures on the form that must be completed by the prospective student.

Step 3: Pay the non refundable School Fee deposit of $250.00 AND SPES membership fee

A non refundable deposit of $250.00 of the School Fee is due at time of application.

In addition, at least one parent of each prospective student must be a member of the Sun Peak Education Society. The annual membership fee is $25.00 for one parent/guardian membership or $ 50.00 for a family membership.

To pay the deposit and the SPES membership, please e-transfer the total to treasurer.sp.educationsociety@gmail.com. In the e-transfer memo section, please include student name and that transfer is for the fee deposit and SPES membership.

Step 4: Register with @KOOL (only for new students)

New students must be registered with our Distributed Learning provider, @KOOL. This is a separate process, please contact @KOOL directly to at the @KOOL website to register: link here.

Returning students are already registered and no further action is required.

Step 5: Intake Meeting (only for new students)

Once the following above steps have been completed, prospective students will be contacted to schedule an in-person intake video call. The purpose of this call is to get to know our prospective students better, answer their questions and learn more about why our school would be a good fit for them and how they hope contribute to our school and community.

Step 6: Registration Confirmation

We will contact families by email to confirm registration. Families will recieve this confirmation no later than 2 weeks after the intake meeting.
