Reinstated Facililites Fee:
Please note that SPES will be reinstating the $750.00 Facilities Fee for the 2025/26 school year. This annual fee of $750.00 per student is intended to support the ongoing maintenance, operations and enhancement of our school (costs not covered by the School District No. 73). The fee will be divided into two non-refundable payment installments: the first installment of $250.00 is required at the time of submitting your online student application,The due date(s) for the remainder of the Facilities Fee ($500.00) will be detailed in the notification of admission email.
The SPES is committed to ensuring that financial barriers do not prevent students from registering or attending the Sun Peaks Secondary Academy. If fianancia assistance with fees is needed, please contact the SPES at sunpeakseducation@gmail.com
Notification of Admission
Prospective students will be notified of admission status via email when all steps of the application and fees have been processed and the student has been approved via @KOOL. Please allow 7 to 14 business days for this review process.
International Student Applications
Applications for international students will be accepted after September 1st, 2026.

Applications for the 2025-2026 school year are open.
For planning purposes, SPES asks that, when possible, applications are submitted prior to May 31st, 2025.

Step 1: Purchase or renew SPES Membership - $50.00
Renew or purchase you annual SPES Membership for the 2025 - 2026 school year. Memberships are valid from Aug 1 - July 31.
Please note that at least one adult family member of all students are required to be a member of the SPES.

Step 2: Student Application
Please complete the linked form below. All new and returning students must apply each school year. Please note there are questions on the form that must be completed by the prospective student.
Step 3: Pay Facilities Fee (nonrefundable) deposit of $250.00
E-transfer non-refundable deposit to treasurer.sp.educationsociety@gmail.com. In the etransfer memo, please indicate your student name and what the etransfer is for (fee deposit). The due date(s) for the remainder of the Facilities Fee ($500.00) will be detailed in the notification of admission email.
Step 4: Register with @KOOL
New students must be registered with our Distributed Learning provider, @KOOL. This is a separate process, please contact @KOOL directly to register. @KOOL Registration. Returning students are already registered and no further action is required.
Step 5: Student Interview
Once the following above steps have been completed, prospective students will be contacted to schedule an in-person interview. We want to get to know prospective students better and hear about why our school would be a great fit for them and how they can contribute to our community.
